Doo Wop Cruise II
All of your favorite Doo Wop legends back together again on this exciting once-in-a-lifetime cruise!
The Entertainment
There has not been an Oldies Doo Wop lineup this spectacular in over 50 years featuring: The Amazing Platters, Medallions, Little Creaser and the Romans, Olympics and Vel Omarr as (Sam Cooke).
You will find this Cruise different from any other Doo Wop event you have attended. First and foremost each performance by a group or artist will perform at least a 12 song set (some are doing more) in the trade this known as a full set. There will be absolutely no cross over's (non doo-wop) or someone else's material. Every song heard at this event is the original songs by the artists who recorded them.
Planned Activities
There are many other activities planned during the week including a Super Sock Hop, Autograph Sessions, Hosted Cocktail Parties, Jam Session, and Trivia Contest. If there is interest we may even have a rock and roll talent show There will also be drawings for ship services like, Spa Treatments, Dining with the Stars, Shore Excursions, Specialty Dining, Gift Shop Certificates, Photos and other related ship services. This is only a partial list there many other exciting activities planned.
Dancing
There will be plenty of dancing for your enjoyment. The Carnival Miracle has all the state of the art sound equipment including a built in dance floor which is usual with many ships, most have to set up portable ones. Dancing will be allowed during concert performances if the stage is elevated enough to allow it without interfering with the other passengers view.
However this is a large concert showroom and holds nearly 350 people but we are keeping our group size well below that. So there will be plenty of space behind the seated passengers for dancing during the performances.
There will also be lots of dancing before each concert performance in our showroom by our DJ. Dancing will also be allowed during our jam session and sock hops.
