What is a Memory Lane Doo Wop Concert Cruise?

Memory Lane Concert Cruise is a 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise featuring the crème de la crème of Doo Wop artists from October 6-13, 2013, included are many headliners of which were previous inductees in the prestige's Vocal Group Hall of Fame this is an incredible lineup featuring the. All appearing in full set concerts, a first aboard the Carnival Miracle one of the nicest ships afloat. Stops include the beautiful ports of Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta. Am I guaranteed access to all Memory Lane Concerts onboard?

Memory Lane Concert Cruises has reserved the Miracle's state of the art Mad Hatter lounge for their private concerts only those registered guests will be allowed access to the concerts. Headlining are the Platters, Medallions, Little Creaser and the Romans, Olympics and Vel Omarr as (Sam Cooke) with and every guest is guaranteed admission to all the concerts. Only VIP seating is assigned. All other seats are unassigned general admission. (Artist appearances are subject to change and availability without notice).

What are the age requirements for A Memory Lane Concert Cruise?

  • Guests are required to be 21 years old (on embarkation day) to travel in their own cabin.
  • Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by an individual twenty-five years or older. The exceptions Carnival will make to this policy are:
  • Guests under the age of 21 traveling with a parent or guardian in an accompanying stateroom.
  • Married minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple is married. The couple must have proof of marriage at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund.
  • Domestic Partners/Same-Sex Union minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple are legal Domestic Partners/Same-Sex Union. The couple must have legal proof of partnership/union at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund.
  • Minors traveling without either parents or legal guardians will need a notarized affidavit authorizing the minor to leave the country. Please click HERE for a sample (PDF).
Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will be denied boarding and assessed a 100% cancellation penalty. NO exceptions will be made at embarkation.

What is the performance schedule?

The exact performance Concert schedule will be released prior to the cruise. Memory Lane Concert Cruises, at its sole discretion, may add, replace or eliminate an artist or artists, change, postpone, or cancel any portion of the entertainment or event activities. In such case, Memory Lane Concert Cruises shall have no liability to any passenger for any loss, damage or expense whatsoever due to such change.

What is the dress code onboard?

A seven-night cruise includes two formal evenings, during which most men wear dark suits rather than  tuxes, and women opt for business-y pants suits or evening dresses -- some rather glitzy. All other nights are deemed casual (when you're likely to see everything from ratty jeans to pretty sundresses) or "elegant casual" (a skirt or pants and blouse are fine for women, and most men wear Dockers-type pants with a buttoned shirt or polo).

Can I sit with my friends at dinner?

Carnival Cruise Line's Your Time Dining policy allows you the flexibility to dine when you want, where you want, and with whomever you like. You won't be assigned dining times, table numbers, or dinner companions. In addition to the main dining room, Carnival also offers alternative dining options. All of these options offer you the flexibility to enjoy dinner with a group of friends, enjoy an intimate table for two, or make new friends by sitting with a different group of people each night. What time you dine is also up to you. There's no need to worry about early or late seating’s, losing time in port to make a dinner seating, or being limited to the same schedule everyday. On board an Carnival cruise, choice is on every menu.

What dining options are available onboard?

Carnival ships do not have Anytime Dining traditional structured dinner seating's. They leave what time you dine up to you. If you're in port, you don't have to hurry back to the ship and rush to get dressed to make a 5:45 or 8:30 pm seating. If you like, you can stay in port and enjoy whatever you're doing, or, if you're hungry, return to your ship for a delicious meal. Carnival restaurants are open from 5:45 pm to 9:30 with seating available until 9:00 pm. You can dine early or late. It's all up to you. And if you want even more flexibility, room service is available 24 hours a day. It's up to you.

Main Dining Rooms:

Passengers do not require reservations and can dine at any time between 5:30 and 8:30pm. Up to eight guests can usually be accommodated with little or no wait.

Specialty Restaurants:

The Anytime Dining offers many alternative choices to the 2 main dining rooms. You can find whatever you are craving. On board you will find a For more intimate dining, many Carnival ships feature a reservations-only supper club with a Manhattan-chic setting and a menu that includes steakhouse favorites. Every meal is a celebration in our reservations-only Supper Club From the extravagant midnight buffets (on select Carnival ships), to the European-style cafes, sushi bars and 24-hour pizzeria, you'll discover a myriad of palate-pleasing favorites that even the most discriminating diner will enjoy. Passengers can make reservations for a specific time in the specialty restaurants and can dine at any time between Dinners: 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM.

What shore excursions are available in Lon Beach, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta?

Carnival does offer a variety of them the days we'll be in port although you will not be able to book a shore excursion until you have your booking number (3-5 weeks prior to cruise time), and, pending availability, you will also be able to book your excursion once we get on board.

Can I call home from the ship?

You can dial direct via satellite from the phone in your cabin 24 hours a day regardless of the ship's location (until 4 AM Sunday morning).The rate is about $6.99*per minute for calls to the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico and about $9.99* per minute for all International calls and will be billed to your sail and sign card (no calling cards/credit cards/800#s or collect calls). In addition, some Carnival ships allow the use of personal cell phones.

Friends and family may call guests on board via Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN) Shore-to-Ship telephone service. The rate is $9.50* per minute from the US; additional long distance charges may apply from outside the US (charges must be applied to one of the following caller's credit cards in and order to make a call: MC/Visa/Amex/Discover/Diner's Club) The caller will need our ship's name (Miracle) and the guest's name.

What sort of activities will be planned on the ship besides music?

We are working with all the artists to insure having them available in all our special activities on board. Seeing as this is one of the most history making cruises to ever take place, we feel it's important for everyone to experience the things many cruises wouldn't normally allow you be a part of including the Rehearsals, autograph signing sessions, fan friendly events and other forms of non-music entertainment

What fitness activities are available?

A fitness center and workout room with modern equipment is available. Our ship also offers a jogging track, table tennis, swimming pools and fitness classes.

Can I wash my clothes while I travel?

In addition to a complete laundry and dry cleaning services on board there are also coin operated washers and dryers on all the stateroom decks for your convenience as well.

Can I video tape the Concerts?

Video Taping of Memory Lane Concerts is authorized for non-commercial purposes only. Unauthorized sale, duplication and/or distribution are strictly forbidden. All Memory Lane Concert Cruises performances and recordings are the exclusive property thereof and we reserve the right to withdraw our sanction of recording, tape trading, and/or non-commercial digital audio file transfers on a case-specific basis or in general, as we deem necessary.

Will there be artist merchandise for sale?

Yes... Memory Lane Concert Cruises will have a hospitality desk available that will have many of our performers CDs and other items. However no items are available while we are in port, but the desk will open for your convenience at scheduled times during the cruise. A schedule will be available daily for all our guests onboard.

Should I bring my music instrument?

Absolutely! Our band would enjoy nothing more for you to join in and jam with them. Your participation will be at their discretion.

When will we be able to view the on-board music schedule?

A preliminary schedule will be posted later on our web site. One will also be provided for you with your boarding documents. You will receive the finalized schedule that will be delivered to your stateroom prior to embarkation. There will also be scheduled information printed on the board daily for your convenience.

Is there a Doctor/Hospital on-board?

The ship has a Medical Center equipped to handle most emergencies and routine medical procedures. The infirmary includes an Intensive Care Unit and cardiac monitoring equipment. Consulting hours will be printed in the daily on-board news letter. A fee will be charged to your account for physician/nurse service and for any medications dispensed.

Will I be able to connect to the internet?

There is available 24 hour internet access in the ships internet lounge and any usage will be billed to your on-board account. Please see the Carnival Cruise Line Internet Manager during hours listed in the daily program to arrange your personal access needs. A limited supply of wireless laptop rentals may also available for a fee.

  • Bond Amount: 100% of the sum of payments received for air and sea transportation and any refunds made by carriers or providers of travel services.
  • Requiring Entity: State of California
  • Underwriting Criteria: Personal Credit Check of Business Owner
  • Who is Required to Secure this Bond: A California Seller of Travel Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the sum of payments received for air and sea transportation and any refunds made by carriers or providers of travel services is mandatorily required to be filed with the State of California, as set forth in the provisions of Section 17550.15 of the Business and Professions Code, for all Travel Agencies or Seller of Travel. The seller of travel shall deposit directly into a trust account in a federally insured bank, savings and loan association, or credit union 100 percent of all sums received from any person or entity, including, but not limited to, those payments made in cash, by credit card, or any other method of payment, for air or sea transportation for any person, or for any travel services offered by the seller of travel, and any refunds made by carriers or providers of travel services. This subdivision does not require that a seller of travel establish a separate trust account for each transaction.
  • Bond Requirement Specifics: As set forth in the provisions of Section 17550.15 of the Business and Professions Code, every seller of travel or travel agency must maintain a surety bond in the amount of 100% of the sum or payments received for air and sea transportation and any refunds made by carriers or providers of travel services with the State of California in order to operate a Travel Agency.
  • Who is protected Under this Bond: Any person or persons to whom the seller of travel rendered services. Every seller of travel has a fiduciary responsibility with respect to all sums received for transportation or travel services.
  • Underwriting Process: The California Seller of Travel Bond is underwritten based on a personal credit check of the business owner(s). In the event the personal credit does not meet the minimum threshold for a standard approval, the premium rate may be elevated. The Seller of Travel Bond requires a signed application, which can be found through our web-site, as well as a statement of experience & length of time in business. Upon approval for the bond, the original signed application must be forwarded to our office.

  • You, the passenger: may request reimbursement from the TCRC if you are owed a refund of more than $50 for transportation or travel services which was not refunded in a timely manner by a seller of travel who was registered and participating in the TCRC at the time of sale. The maximum amount which may be paid by the TCRC to any one passenger is the total amount paid on behalf of the passenger to the seller of travel, not to exceed $15,000.
  • All payments: for transportation or travel service not provided to the passenger shall be promptly refunded, in accordance with the agreed-to terms and conditions, unless the passenger otherwise instructs the seller of travel in writing.
  • A claim: must be submitted to the TCRC within six months after the scheduled completion date of travel. A claim must include sufficient information and documentation to prove your claim and a $35 processing fee. You must agree to waive your right to other civil remedies against a registered participating seller of travel for matters arising out of a sale for which you file a claim with TCRC, if you were located in California at the time of sale.
  • California law: requires travel to have a trust account or bond.
  • Registration: as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California.
  • Only: the Cruise lines, tour operators or travel suppliers will ever process any of our customers' credit card payments.
  • We do not: sell or share any of the customer information that is given to our company from the customer.
  • All payments: for transportation or travel service not provided to the passenger shall be promptly refunded, in accordance with the agreed-to terms and conditions, unless the passenger otherwise instructs the seller of travel in writing.
